error trying to register for forums

I was talking to a new player today who was trying to register for the forums and she got a message saying "The confirmation code you entered was incorrect"  I tried as well and got the same message.

Sometimes one has to try a few times as the letters and whatnot don't expose themselves clearly enough. Also, it's case sensitive.

What is happening, at least with her and when I tried with my browser as well (firefox) is that if  I go to register (log out of my account) there is no box that gives the  letters and numbers you'd need to type in.
