1: Don't dual-wield the DM client. No one can be omnipresent, and the players should know that. If you want to do something in another area, we'll send a Party / DM message about what we're trying to do and wait. Do that, and there should be much less chaos and confusion for you. Hell, I was getting that with manning two PCs!

2: New scripts are bound to bust or do unexpected things. Ask Tsu; we get a lot of weird script issues that happen, even with our automated module reload. This is either from the coding being off, or the engine's fault (Most likely the latter).

1. I didn't have a problem using two DM clients at the same time. There were... Other problems. But yes, it would be nice if people actually -told- me they were interacting with NPCs, like I asked. You know, instead of just assuming I'm there and everybody running off and interacting with like five NPCs at once.

2. My scripts didn't break! Bioware's did -.-'

DM's can never be in two places at once. Groups should learn to always party up, and if they separate don't expect the DM to be there at all. They probably are busy with the other group. It's hard to deal with a split party. It's impossible to deal with everyone individually.

As per Tails' request, I made an ARG (Alternate Reality Game) to help decode the scroll.

Don't worry, you don't have to figure it out, it's just for kicks!

So Sharon now has a peculiar scroll that nobody can seem to decode. Furthermore, its contents change every now and then. After failing to make sense of it at all, it was decided that the best course of action was to make copies of the scroll in different states, and compare them all against each other. We're on the right track...

If you DO figure it out, you get an extra-super-duper-special bonus prize! Woohoo!

HINT #1: The solution is another puzzle. (A much easier one.). Consider it another clue!
HINT #2: Don't bother trying to translate it, I used Lorem Ipsum to generate the contents. The secret is elsewhere...
HINT #3: It's all in the letters.

EDIT: Easier version put in now.

As per Tails' request...

I don't recall this...

Is the mistake on the second image going to make finding the solution harder?

Can we just ignore the second image if this is the case?

I'm struggling with this one... :)

The mistake doesn't change the puzzle or the solution; it's merely aesthetic.

The ONLY pattern I can see here is that the first is 14 lines long, followed by the second at 15, and the third at 16.

I see no other patterns. We've done overlays, rotations, maze attempts with various rules, counted the number of words on each line (added with all 3 scrolls), looked for repeating combinations, counted the spaces, and only met frustration.

I'm seconding Crulon's answer.

Replaced the images with an easier version. Also added a third hint.

Now the pattern's a lot easier, this should be straightforward!

Just have to wait 'til I can get to a pen and paper...

On the third scroll. 3 down, 4 across. This character doesn't seem to match up with the other scrolls, which occurs at 6 down and 2 across as well. Maybe we should see what else doesn't match up between all three?

EDIT 1: I see more comparing scroll 2 to 1. Looking at 1 down 5 across, this letter doesn't match up with the other two occurrences on scroll 2.

I haven't even looked at the other two images, but the only possible pattern I've seen in the first image is that the coordinates of the three unique letters in the lower left quarter add up to the coordinates of the only unique letter in the upper right quarter. I've no idea how the fifth unique letter in the centre relates to this.

This could be me peeing into wind...

First one is mostly Daedric text from The Elder Scrolls. Translated it reads:

Code: [Select]
K O N E ? P O R T
T I T O R P H A R
E I R A L E C T U
S J T B I B E H K
J M ? I F A J C I
B J S I N N J L L
A V O L J T P A T
A L I Q J A M M I
K I G N I S S I M

I don't recognize the symbol I replaced with the ?

Hope that helps.

First one is mostly Daedric text from The Elder Scrolls.

The third one is also from TES, being Dwemeris. Though, there isn't anything to directly translate, so I'm just going based on symbols and similarities between the three scrolls. To try and help, I've been trying to assign all of the symbols to a letter, then compare them for any key differences. I see several, mainly in symbols that are in the second row or column, but there's more than that.

For scroll three (Dwemeris), I've assigned it as such.

Code: [Select]
A B C D E F B G H
H I H B G F J K G
D H G L M D E H N
O N H P I P D C A
N Q Q I R K N E I
P L O I C C N G G
K S B G N H F K H
K G I T N K Q Q I
A I U C I O O I Q

Obviously it needs better alignment, but that's what I've done so far. I'll work on the other two sooner, while paying mind to possible oddities showing up.

Definite patterns of appearance. For example the last two lines:

A V O L J T P A T
A L I Q J A M M I

The symbols on all three for the first two letters "A and A", as well as the "A M M" in the last line are matched in all three. Don't know if that helps... but there's the bacon.
