Forum spammers attack..

Um.. Really need to make it so the forums are locked (admin only can accept accounts made) or something. That's alot of spam that just hit.

Agreed. Also, if I see any of our admin staff online I will notify them of the issue. As a DM, I have the capability for moderation on the forums, and have removed the spam thusfar presented. Hopefully this shouldn't occur again. Vicious spammers.

I removed numerous posts and banned the users/ips but I guess they just keep happening! Alert the mothman!

I would fix the issue myself, but alas, I am not an admin. I have, however, reported the spammers to the appropriate authorities. With any luck they should be dealt with.

I try to check in every morning and delete them but yea it's getting annoying.

It appears we may not be the only ones being affected. I'm wondering if these spam reports are related, considering the thread and reports began when the spamming did here.

I dunno what you're all talking about banning 5-6 accounts today and deleting thread posts is a barrel of laughs! Seriously though, thanks guys
