Favored Enemy mistake

Well... I noticed on my ranger Lomendel the other day that for some strange reason I picked Favored Enemy: Giant, instead of Favored Enemy: Orc like it was supposed to be.

Is there currently a way to fix mistakes from char creation without remaking? If not, I can just pick up the feat next time I can pick a favored enemy... no big deal, just checking here for an easy fix that won't take so long since I take forever to level my characters.

As far as I know, the only way to fix this is to remake. LETO lets you do it but I've been told it makes the character illegal and unplayable.

Bummer... ah well. I'll just wait it out till level 15 and take it then since the bonus seems to be the same no matter what order you take the favored enemies.

I've had skill points moved around through leto before on another server and I think they were also able to switch feats without making the character illegal. I'll see if I can figure out how they did it.

I think you should be able to, but only if you can modify the Character Level progression list, since it also takes a check from there as well (This counts everything, what class, HP gained, skills, and feats). Leto might be able to, but I'd have to test it.

I've asked the server host on the other server I used to play on who did the leto for me. If you can't figure it out, Tails, I'll just post Bonesly's response (when I receive it)...together, we will discover the fix for our buddy Bralius! ^.^

>.>... Anyway, with a bit of testing and playing around, I did find that things taken at level 1 CAN be changed in Leto. I was able to use my guinea pig (Ari'Kavain), swap out skills, a feat, and some ability scores, and he was able to connect to myself in multiplayer (Yes, I had ELC enabled and that).

I can explain it, live only, if anyone wants to hear... But for this case:

Files > Tools > Classes & Levels Wizard

Use "View or Edit Progress Journal". This should default to viewing the first level of the character. If not, use the drop-down box and pick it, then choose "Next", then again since you don't wanna change anything here.

Skills page: You can swap skills here. Be careful, since some skills go from Class to Cross-Class (Or denied), and vice versa. Next!

Feats: Yes, the entire list. Uncheck what you took, and check what you want to replace it with, then click Next.

Summary: Make sure you made the proper changes, then finish and save the character. (Keep backups. Don't know where one will go wrong!)

Well, here's the response I got from Bonesly:
Quote from: "Bonesly"
Thain does not enforce legal characters, which is why we can LETO feats around to fit RP and don't care if the char becomes marked illegal. It sounds like this other server probably has that flag checked, and if so, he might be out of luck.

But I doubled tested Tails' way and it seems to work. Good work, Tails! :D

If it can be done then, really all I want is a swap of "Favored Enemy: Giant" to "Favored Enemy: Orc" and all is perfect in the world again.

EDIT: Full character name is: Lomendel Melchior

Sorry sorry, I haven't been around, so I'm slow.  I went ahead and made the change, and I'll teach the active sorts the ins and outs of how it works for future reference.  Like got mentioned above, LETO can make the change, and also as mentioned, if done in what seems the obvious way, it will break the character.
