The recent attack by Drow forces on town of Port Llast still runs fresh in the minds of citizens, Mashan Reyer of the Merciful Blade with help from other managed to subdue and capture a prisoner from the assaulting force and is currently holding him for questioning.

The latest rumor is that a brazen assassination attempt on Lord Orrik Bradley of Neverwinter has been thwarted by a scribe of Tethyr. The attacker was a doppleganger posing as an envoy of Luskan, raising questions on who planned this and why they would want tentions between Neverwinter and Luskan to escalate.

If one inquires further they might find the name of Katelyn Nichols brought up, that she was not a scribe at all, which in that case you wonder why she was in the royal chambers on that day.

Those walking the forests south and southeast of the Camp, can find bodys of Minotaurs everywhere. Despite the carnage, the forest is hauntingly quiet, as if everything was back to normal

Rumors are spreading from Neverwinter that the House of Pleasure and Pain has been opening its gates and letting people in for free. Wine and food has been plentiful and the entire city has been invited for the perpetual festivities. No one knows how the temple could afford it, but quite a few citizens are enjoying the unlimited generosity!

By the account of one Captain Burke of the Neverwinter Mercenaries' guild, Druids are responsible for a recent attack against the safety of Port Llast's citizens. The Attack was held off at an outpost to the north of the Port.

Concerning rumors have begun coursing through the streets of Neverwinter, ranging from stories of mad renegades, to accusations of the Neverwinter Druid Circle's outright betrayal.

Talk among the camp merchants is about the animals. They are agressive lately, and more so than usual. There have been numerous animal attacks on the camp, Normally harmless creatures have been reported behaving violently towards people, and a bear of legendary size and might was responsible for the deaths of a couple of adventurers.

Khaliana the dryad is very concerned over these events. Shiallia's control of the woods is fading and if more help is not seen soon, she worries things might become quite grim.

Despite the troubles in the wood, word has been spreading that a new tavern called The Wolf's Wineskin has opened south of camp.

The Merciful Blade made it known by wanted posters, ect, that the banites Drada and Sakron were being sought in connection with the kidnapping of an unspecified woman, and for fleeing justice on a large number of crimes, the penalty for most of which is death.

These men are very dangerous, and should not be tackled alone.

Orc blood stains the streets of Port Llast after today's assault from the orcish threat. This had been the first attack on a town since the troubles began, and has confirmed the seriousness of the situation. Rumors are running wild about Trolls and even Stone Giants assisting the Orcs. The Neverwinter Watch has sent soldiers to re-enforce prt Llast against these dangers.

Albeit under heavy security precautions, the knights of the Merciful Blade of Tyr have opened the gates of Westing Lokk to as many refugees as they can accommodate.

In addition, the knights have stepped up, and beefed up, patrols in their jurisdictional area. These groups are proceeding with all due caution, and treating the forest as a constant potential combat zone.

A company of guild mercenaries from Neverwinter were ambushed by orcs as they marched to the camp in the Wood for resupply. The routing survivors were cut down within sight of Volo's Lodge itself and the wood was littered with corpses and their scattered equipment. Looters were seen throughout the day picking over the remains before being finally chased off in the late evening.

The knights of the Blade dispatched a contingent of a few of their better knights, enough to hold the entrances of the lodge, a healder, and a picked archer for each window to the lodge. (Probably what, six, eight guys?)

If Brius protested, the would be reminded that this was time of war, and the knights have full powers of arrerst in the forest, so he can jolly well deal with it.

(and yes, at last count that keep contains a suprising number of men, and take it from me... you have to earn that knighthood with a surplus of blood, sweat, tears, and stained undergarments)

Today there was a mighty spectacle in the skies above the entire region, as the people witnessed a Great White Dragon Pursue a smaller Red all the way from Mirabar to where they both went down over Lake Stillness.

Neither was seen to emerge. Rumors are running wild that Both Frygicrax, the force behind the orc raids, and Lord Visen are Both Dead. Many Scholars are arguing this accusation.

Sure enough however, the frequencey of orc raids have drastically decreased. Neverwiter's fragile peace has returned. For now.
