:arrow: Most moniters will shut themselves off once they are no longer recieving data. Another thing to check is your "Power Options" (found in your control panel) ... turn off all power schemes.
:arrow: If the problem persists ... check the cable running from your monitor to your computer. Are there any places where the cable makes a tight bend? If so, adjust the position of your monitor/pc so that the cable is "straighter". Does the cable seem to have a "crease" in it? Does wriggling the cable (toward the base of the monitor) affect the picture at all?

Overcoming Mishap: Easy as Poetry
Harm, foul ... Barn, cow ... Yarn, meow!
When harm is done, call a foul.
Go into the barn and milk the cow. It may seem like a gruesom task, but even though beast may be big, she is (for the most part) quite harmless. Get the milk, its good for both cow and milker.
Chores done, we are then free to return to our ball of yarn and have fun ... meow.

Ok before this gets locked .... Some interesting link for everyone wishing to actually SOLVE things ....
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evaporating_cloud Airyn mentioned a number of good points. Well said and thank you, Airyn. Several other worthwhile comments have been made as well. But I urge the ones who've posted here to reread his/her posts and ask, "Does this comment treat a symptom, or does this comment progress the discussion toward an end-all solution to the problem?" We all have opinions ... we can fill pages upon pages (quite rapidly) by slingling them back and forth .... Yet if we never progress toward an end-all solution we waste our time. Step 1 :: Decide that you really must solve the problem.I see a problem that plagues many PW communities including LoTN. I honestly feel a resolution will benefit everyone within this community. Furthermore, I believe we are capable of reaching a resolution; and, that by doing so, we may set a shinning example for other PW communities as well as the NWN Community as a whole.

Sometimes I'm too tired to form comprehensive thoughts ... much less, to adhear to grammatical conventions ...
... this is when the elipse becomes my friend ... separating thoughts into bite-sized blocks ... making life easier on eyes and brains in anyone's head ... even Joe's ...
... maybe ...

Only if you give them 24 hours notice ....
... I saw that on one of those crazy law websites. I forget the actually location, but I want to say it was Texas ... you have the right to murder someone so long as you give victim 24 hours advance notice of your intention to kill them ... sounds like some ridiculous law spawned out of the "Wild West" era.

Yeah, I hear ya' Joe. The grammatic brutality in the manner with which some of us badger our words together (even in our native tongue) is plain sad. It doesn't say much for the education system. However, this message board is far from formal. I don't expect to see perfect grammar. Many of us---at times, myself included---post our messages in much the same manner with which we speak. Very few cultures speak complete sentences or even complete thoughts. Sit down in a public area someday and eavesdrop on a few conversations; or better yet, commit a few of your own verbal conversations to paper. You may supprise yourself with some of the nonsense leaking out your mouth. For myself, I have bad habit of leaving words out when I type. Somehow a word here or there gets lost or meets a dead end along the neural pathway between head and fingers---perhaps as a result to heavy partying durning my early college years ... who knows? At any rate, I don't think a little extra effort to write a touch more formally (at least an attempt at proper punctuation) is too much to ask. But, personally, I'm not going to harp on anyone for the way they write. As I see it, if you don't like, don't understand it, or if it drives you over curbs and through brick buildings ... don't read it. Or, if it's the fact that you want to read it, but you cannot make any sense of it ... ask the poster what the heck they mean. If you do it enough, maybe they'll catch on .... {edit: ... see, I left out words again ... fixed 'em now though }

It's grammatically incorrect on a couple points. One, it's a run-on sentence. You have two thoughts there, neither of which is complete. Two, by adding the word "that" before the word "refuse", you created a clause which describes "people" rather than what the "fact" is. Therefore, technically, the thought is incomplete because we're never told of this fact. As well, the phrase "at least somewhat" is an aside; it should be punctuated as such (for the sake of readabily). So, corrected, the sentence should read: "It's the fact that people refuse to be (at least somewhat) respectful by attempting decent grammar. Then, we wouldn't have to decypher what they're trying to say." ... you asked ... there's your answer ....
