Player's Corner / Re: Westing Lokk Interior
« on: February 11, 2010, 05:33:19 PM »
Still can't find the server anymore. And I may not be coming back since I've become part of the staff trying to revive my original NWN server. I don't wanna post much about it in the forums here cause it's just rude to tell people about other servers on one servers sight though.
Anyway, I wouldn't worry about Cara haivng a room there or anything since I'm off on Taliv now. I'd pop in here from time to time if I could find it though.

Player's Corner / Re: Dungeon Survey
« on: February 04, 2010, 08:04:37 PM »
Only thing I've noticed about dungeons here is they don't seem to have the old dungeon crawl build to them. Where you walk in the front with a decent party and do the entire dungeon like an old adventure modual would. You go to the first part, then stop at the door and go back a few lvls later. I'd personaly think that idea should be revised so people know you're going into a lvl 2-6 dungeon with a lvl 2-6 party and can hae a reasonable chance of getting decent xp and decent low lvl loot there without zoneing into a lvl 10-12 area in the same dungeon and getting killed.

Another point I'd like to bring up in the duneons is the new bounty system. These marks being in goblinoid or other mosterous lairs just hanging out and attacking PCs with the mobs already there don't realy make sence. Wanted criminal or not to a goblin a human's a human (or whateer race) and they'd likely be attacked there doe the same reason an adventurer is. They also as they are treated as bosses spawning in the middle of an area with an already difficult spawn can ruin a duneon experiance by overpowering the encounter where they just realy wouldn't belong anyway.

Just my thoughts. I know I'm the new guy, but often servers seem to forget a new player is a new pair of eyes to see things that others are already used to. Some of you know me, someo of you don't, I'm not going to give my "gamer resume" unless anyone asks for it just my thoughts.

Information / Re: Tracking
« on: February 03, 2010, 06:35:11 PM »
That's kinda what I was looking for. Since it's something that can effect a character being played the skill that is used to do it. Though personaly I think it should be the same skill no matter who is DMing to avoid having characters switching between good tracker and bad tracker depending on who's DMing or scattering skill points around.

Information / Tracking
« on: February 03, 2010, 06:04:23 PM »
I have a question about tracking here. Since Bioware decided to simply not add it as a feat like it's supposed to be in D&D I'd like to know what skill is used. I've had serious issues with this ability in the past on other servers to the point of being banned from one for telling a DM to go master the art of self felatio for his attitudes and actions in the descussion so I'd like to clear it up here. The big problem that lead to my banning was a culmination of that guy and I just not likeing eachother and I had an epic ranger there. The whole time I had been playing him it was a search or spot check to track, I had an insane spot, search, and listen (higher than one of the DMs dragon PCs) and this guy got sick of my ability to follow a blood trail across cobblestones in a rainstorm with a 60 search roll so he changed it to lore just because. The other DMs didn't say anything, it was lore when he was doing events and no one else was doing events anymore, needless to say I had about a 5 lore, and atleast 45 search/spot. He also upped the DC for tracking so suddenly the worlds best tracker (who also happend to be a werewolf... hello tracking by scent) suddenly could barely follow the guy infront of him.

So to avoid these issues in the future and strive for continuity what is the "tracking" skill in Legacy of the North?

Player Requests / Re: Paladins who become Blackguards
« on: February 03, 2010, 05:50:05 PM »
I know this is an old topic, but according to the Pen an Paper 3rd edition handbook a fallen paladin blackguard does get more abilites than an average blackguard because their new god likes them more for falling. I can't remember off the top of my head what they are, and my PHB is about 10 hours away from here but that's one of the things that's always bugged me on NWN, that and the lack of the tracking feat for rangers.

Bug Reports / Re: Horse Issues...

the used item special power thing is related to the old paladin mount item that slips into your inventory every so often from before it was a radial menue option.
I actualy find the mount more a pain than it's worth most of the time since they try to path as a medium creature and get stuck because they're large.
