Title: Scroll vendor in mage guild
Post by: AelrynBloodmoon on March 19, 2006, 02:16:45 PM
Alright, so I accept and understand perfectly why the mage guild doesn't sell 9th level scrolls, well and good. But there are some spells missing that I'm wondering if it was intentional on. Energy Buffer isn't for sale at the guild. Neither is legend lore, and I'm sure a small host of others. Any chance this might be changed in the future, or should I just bite it and pick it at level-up?

It might be interesting that those "missing" spells were sold in other places than the mage guild. Maybe some could come as the result of a long trip to a secluded mage's tower?

On another note but still related.... are blank scrolls sold anywhere else than at the guild?

I believe there are blank scrolls at Droline's Mixing pot.

Some scrolls were taken out back before the big spell- and scroll use nerfage because certain scroll users had a way of gaining access to the mage's guild and buff themselves into god-like powers. I guess no one bothered to add them back in. Something like Legend Lore, on teh other hand, was probably just a mistake. There is quite a list to choose from when setting up such a store, you know, and a few mishaps are bound to happen when trying to sort between devine/arcane/bardic/druidic spells.
